Grayfox
Mitch and I went back out tonight and checked the traps and we pulled in another 24 pockets and 2 stripes. We left out 24 traps and we'll check them tomorrow. When he got home he was double checking the tails and he found another 2 bags in the freezer. The new total is 170 pockets and 5 stripes. Hope you guys aren't getting tired of the posts but I think after this week we're going to take a little breather until the next crop gets cut and start getting our stands up for bowhunting and get back to fishing. v

mrklean
how much money are you gonna make from all of them?
Grayfox
mrklean, Mitch took in the gophers today and ended up with 182 pocket gophers and that'll get him $546 dollars. Not bad for a 13 year old in 2 weeks. July 28th he got $209 dollars for his pockets and stripe gophers. So to date thats $755. He can'tdecide if he's getting another rifle for predator hunting or a gun cabinet. He's bought 3 guns since he was 10 with his trapping money. Pretty proud of him. picksbigwagon
that is awesome. what does he currently use for predator hunting right now? Not sure if the prices on AR's has dropped much, but he could get into a Olympic Arms K16 for just about what he has right now.
Grayfox
He's been using his TC Encore(one of the rifles he bought) in .223 but is thinking of going to a bolt action for a little extra fire power. I think he'd like a AR as well. Maybe he could let his dad use it. Some of you may have seen these but here's some of his kills.
