Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

BJ Penn in 2nd round TKO

Griffin will beat Silva by decision.

Those are the two main fights, they'll be a few more aired but I'm not sure who they will be showing.

I dont see the silva griffin fight going to a decision, they both have nothing to lose so there just gonna swing, plus silva knows that if he has another fight like that past 2 the fans are gonna keep turning on him. I think griffin might be able to knock him out, and kenny wins as well.

I would love to see Kenny Florian beat B.J. Penn.

I hope Griffins heart can overcome Silvas talent.

I'd also love to see Florian and Griffin win but my head is telling me Silva and Penn come away with the victory.

Griffin's chances against Silva approach zero. You can't ever say ZERO, because one punch/knee can change or end a fight, but Silva is just a machine. Better stand-up, better clinch, better submissions.

JLT....That was my first thought, but then I started thinking that if Penn had trouble training for GSP, he wouldn't do any better and maybe worse for Florian. On the other hand, KF is probably pulling out all the stops for this one! Should be interesting as Penn is a good fighter even when he isn't in the best of shape. I think Silva has to many tools for FG to deal with, probably get stopped on a cut.

Totally agree. As much as I like Griffin, I think Silva is a whole different class of fighter. Either way, gonna be a great fight!

Florian should take Penn and Forest will try, but Silva will destroy him.

Grebe, that's Kenflo's hope...If he can get it into the later rounds BJ's tank may be low, but BJ has a new conditioning coach and was really humbled by GSP. Picture GSP vs Kenflo and imagine how short that fight would be! Silva is a Sniper with his standup and Forrest likes to stand so I don't see it ending well for Forrest?

That's what I thought would happen to Forrest. I figured that BJ would of won in an earlier round than he did, but apparently his new conditioning coach is paying off! Forrest will have a tough time thinking this fight over, as he was humiliated in the stand up game! Do not stand with Anderson Silva, as you will be sleeping soon! Back to the drawing board Ken (elbows to the back of the head) Florian.

Wow, that Silva Griffin fight was something. Silva made Griffen look stupid out there. That was crazy how he just dropped his hands and mocked everthing Forrest threw. I dont care for the guy but his talent in unreal.

And I wouldnt say Penn dominated KenFlo. Kenny did a good job of being the aggresor in the fight I thought. Up until the end he was mostly moving forward on Penn.

i'd like to see silva vs GSP....i don't think GSP would play around and stand there to exchange blows on the feet....it would definetly be silva's toughest fight.

did people really think kenflo could beat BJ? yeah i know easy to say after the fact but i didn't think kenflo stood a chance...but i will say i thought griffen had a chance to beat silva if he didn't get ko'd....i thought he'd press the fight more against the cage and on the ground and maybe take silva to the later rounds....but on the other hand i thought he might be stupid and stand there and fight straight up to prove he isn't scared...can't believe he got knocked out by that little love tap lol

silva is a beast...they need to give him the hardest matchups to bring out the best of him...he gets bored with the other chumps.

I just seen the clips of the fight...Forest wasn't even in it!

It looked like the old films of Jack Johnson pounding Jim Jefferies! It might take someone we haven't even seen yet to beat Silva?

Machida would give him a pretty good fight if not a loss.

    • It did not work the first time but they think it will now lol!
    • Lord Calvert is smooth and cheap! I have some expensive bottles, but I find myself drinking lord Calvert, southern comfort, honey jack daniels, grandpa’s favorite Windsor.  Mostly a rum drinker, but I like to have extensive collection to offer my friends.
    • nice and neighborly like let them know you feed and have bird houses up and enjoy the birds. ask nicely he not try to kill them. i also believe its not legal to kill purple martins as they are not considered a nuisance bird like sparrows and starlings!!!!!!!!  not saying get beligernt or nasty!
    • I picked up a bottle of Old Forester the other day for something new. I thought is was pretty good. Plenty smooth over some ice.
    • We have a couple both right next to trees but also close to the lake. Both have been full of Martins for several years. I don't think they have an impact on the bugs but they are very enjoyable to watch and listen to.  They also only do the dive-bombing when the babies are young and getting ready to fly, the especially bomb the dog and he doesn't even care!   I'd highly recommend putting a few houses up, the plastic gourds you can buy work good also.
    •   Not sure what you would have me say. You can't be in your own driveway because it bothers the birds?
    • be nice if they were back in St. Cloud...  I liked that place....
    • I caught one in a live trap couple years ago. Personally I'd try to rid yourself of them.
    • I grew up with purple Martin's. They seem to like power lines nearby. They eat all sorts of bugs. The diving never bothered us.  As far as the neighbor, I'd have said something.
    • This was my experience, may be completely different than others. I put up a house in my back yard, less than 40 feet from my house, pole was about ten feet tall. Had to remove a lot of sparrow nests until the martins found it, but I did have martins move in. They were beautiful to watch fly for sure. Unfortunately they would dive bomb anyone that came anywhere near, maybe with a taller pole that would not happen? They would fly silently up behind you, then squawk right as they went past. I knew I would not put up the house the following summer when I saw my neighbor, who was working on his boat in his driveway, swinging his landing net at one that was diving at him. From watching them, they would mainly catch dragonflies to feed to the young ones. By the time the mosquitos came out at dusk, the birds were all done flying, so they did not help with mosquitos. This was just my experience. A lot of people have houses and enjoy them, my guess is that if the pole was higher maybe the birds would not see people as a threat. I still have the house, if I ever move to a lake I will try it again.
