I'm in the same boat as you, Eric.

What's a Sabiki rig?

I found one. Appears it is using a line with multiple hooks to catch schooling fish. Seems to be a saltwater thing. I doubt this is legal in MN.

Search Google and you'll find many examples.

mid lake rock...correct, it's a string of six hooks of sort. i'm not much of an open water man, but over here on lake erie, i guess they use these alot off the side of the boat with success. just wondered if anybody tryed them under the ice. i'll try em this winter.

I would agree that this would not be legal in MN even with a spinner attached.

i used them in florida to catch bait(bait was bigger than most keepers back here) so yes they would work but be illegal they are multiple tiny hooked 6-8" snells tied to a line, spent more time untangling line than fishing but each time pulled it out had 4 or 5 fish on them

I've used them for Perch on lake Eerie with my Grandpa. They really work well.
