Planning on hitting it up for the first time this weekend, mostly chasing musky and probably smallies for a bit. Just wondering what the water level is like, which ramp to hit and any navigation hazards we may encounter. Also does it fish more like a lake or more like a river?

Are you aware of the all the habitat improvements they did during the drawdown? I have some detailed maps of present and future rock piles, brush, trees, etc. Its mostly long and fairly narrow like a river but with a dam it fishes more like a lake. I know some nice fish came out of there last fall, don't have any reports from this year yet. Good luck. I'd bet there will be maps at the landings.

I have a map in my fishing hotspots book, but with my fish finder on the fritz and not knowing the difference in water level between when the map in the book was made and the current water level it made me a bit worried. Guess we'll just travel slow in any water less than 10 feet. No I'm not aware of any structure they added, but I plan on covering water quickly until some fish are found.
