I took this idea from dtro on the bass fishing forum. I figured it'd be fun to see who's the "best all-around fisherman/woman" on FM. Here's all the different species categories on FM, let's see who's highest! And let's try to be honest.

Bass - 24 1/4

Catfish - 20

Carp/sturgeon - 54

Northern - 39

Muskie - 40

Panfish - 15 1/4

Trout - 19

Walleye/perch - 27 1/2

Total - 239

No reason to be dishonest. I as well have pics for all except the catfish and trout. All are caught in Minnesota as well. I guess I put way to much time on the water and have gotten lucky a few times, but I still intend on improving on all except maybe the panfish(crappie) and the walleye, just to be realistic.

Note I have listed where I have caught my fish as not all are MN

Bass 23 Florida the famed Okechobee

Cat 48 pool 4

Sturgeon 84 Sacramento Delta CA - had to beach the boat

Musky 49 Tonka several times can't break 50 GRRR

Pike 43 Mille Lacs

Trout 27 Utah Rainbow Strawberry Lake thru the ice

Crappie 15+ Waconia

Walleye 31 Tonka the one in avatar weighed more but was

only taped at 30

320

Lots of hours for those fish. Planning to go lake trout fishing in Flaming Gorge UT next year to see if I can up that total with a big laker. Doubt I can improve much in the other catagories. I've given up on the 50+ musky after 30 years of trying.

The Sacramento River sturgeon are whites but don't get to the size of the Columbia/Snake/Fraser river fish. I have fished in Idaho for whites but since I never lived there not listing them. The "southern" bass only gave me 1 inch but it was my biggest so I listed it. the catfish was flathead from the Mississippi Pool 4 not a southern fish. Just listing fish I caught from states I have actually lived in. I think great lakes salmon/steelhead should be countable in the trout catagory.

If you want to catch big fish you need to go where they are.

Bass - 20''(canada)

Catfish - 24''

Carp - 15lbs on my scale, no length measurement.. I'd guess 36''?

Pike - 37''(canada)

Muskie - 48''(canada)

Panfish - 11''

trout - 29''(canada)

Walleye - 29''(canada)

total: 234 give or take some for the carp.

Take out Canada and it's much less for me as I still haven't done tons of Minnesota fishing.
