Italian Tony
Anyone ever had any experience with this lodge or lake?
Outfitter17
We have had quite a few groups over the past few years that have tried it, both summer and winter. Depending on what you are looking for, they have good trout and muskie. Only negative is its a flyin with 3 other lodges on it and you are limited on the amount of weight you can fly in with. That's the comment I heard from our new guests that tried it in the summer. In the winter it's a nice quite trout lake, just a long ride to get into it. If you try it good luck. MuntzAngling
My dad had good luck there muskie fishing. He used to tell me how ridiculously clear Rowan was. Isanglass Lake is nearby and even clearer. Great area there near LOW!

gonorthanychance
Have been up there probably 12 times in the past 10 years. We have boated a 53 1/2", 52 1/2", and several 48" muskies. Trout fishing is great, as well the large-mouth and northern fishing. Good size lake with lots a water and structure to fish. The resort is first class. Meals are great, boats are kept clean, cabins are clean and updated. The staff are wonderful. Guides are knowledgable, and if you go out on your own, they are good at pointing you in the right direction. As to the weight restrictions, you can always pay a little more to bump up to a larger plane. The most we have paid extra for the flight might have been $ 100 if you want to haul in more gear, food, beverage, etc. It's a short 15 minute flight from Nestor Falls.I highly recommend Nielsen's.gonorth
