Anyone ever had any experience with this lodge or lake?

We have had quite a few groups over the past few years that have tried it, both summer and winter. Depending on what you are looking for, they have good trout and muskie. Only negative is its a flyin with 3 other lodges on it and you are limited on the amount of weight you can fly in with. That's the comment I heard from our new guests that tried it in the summer. In the winter it's a nice quite trout lake, just a long ride to get into it. If you try it good luck.

Rowan has good muskie and lake trout and the largemouth bass can be fun as well.

My dad had good luck there muskie fishing. He used to tell me how ridiculously clear Rowan was. Isanglass Lake is nearby and even clearer. Great area there near LOW!

Have been up there probably 12 times in the past 10 years. We have boated a 53 1/2", 52 1/2", and several 48" muskies. Trout fishing is great, as well the large-mouth and northern fishing. Good size lake with lots a water and structure to fish.

The resort is first class. Meals are great, boats are kept clean, cabins are clean and updated. The staff are wonderful. Guides are knowledgable, and if you go out on your own, they are good at pointing you in the right direction.

As to the weight restrictions, you can always pay a little more to bump up to a larger plane. The most we have paid extra for the flight might have been $ 100 if you want to haul in more gear, food, beverage, etc. It's a short 15 minute flight from Nestor Falls.

I highly recommend Nielsen's.

    • Same ol story. The Liberals cant handle defeat. Like when Gore lost and Kerry lost. They just cant handle that there are people outside of NY and California and that they own guns, drive pick ups and vote.
    • My brother-in-law is serious about his whiskey, and he usually drinks either Crown or Pendleton.  My wife has drank Windsor for years.     Can't stand the stuff myself - probably got sick from overloading on it in my younger days.  Strictly beer for me - preferably a good craft beer, but normally Grain Belt or Schell's if it's available.
    • Their, there. I was.  Not overly excited by anything I saw. Did get to shoot the Gearhead bow and was fairly impressed. Some uniqueness to this bow, and completely reversible right to left so dealers should like that as far as reduced inventory they must carry.  And the lightest crossbow out there. The new Halon shoots extremely well but like its predecessor just too heavy for my taste.  The Bowtech Reign felt pretty good, but again nothing special.  Everyone makes a roto molded cooler, trail camera, and broadhead nowdays. Liked the cast aluminum tree stands from Rivers Edge at a better price point than others.  Hawk is making some neat treestands and accessories. Goldtip was doing a demo bending their arrows vs other brands and was quite amazing how much farther theirs would bend before breaking, and how much their arrow recovered (would not take a set) after bending vs the other brands. I might switch just because of the durability and straightness factor. Got to hold the new world record Tennessee non-typ.  That's a lot of horn.
    • Therefore, if there is no point in making a point, that makes it a moot post to make a point that there is no point. so I'd like to point out that I find this entire dialogue pointless.    Sillytown has run amuck.
    • Ayup. They asked me to take his place, but I can't stand Rawlings.    http://www.gasmonkeygarage.com/yes-aaron-the-bearded-wonder-is-leaving-gas-monkey-garage/
    • That does look like a fun day!
    • What? This can't be. Aaron's the real car building brains of this show. Richard is just the clown. Together they made it work. Apart?
    • It's catch-22.   The point is that there is no point.
