Gatores
My daughter just bought a used car and the gas guage doesnt work. It bounces from full to empty no matter how much in the tank. Any ideas how to get a gas guage working. ThanksRick

Jeremy airjer W
I have a variable resistor from radio shack that I use to test the guage. With the sending unit unplugged I can hook up the resistor and watch the gauge go up and down with the different resistance values. More than likely it is the sending unit. I think they are serviceable (you can replace just the sending unit) but depending on the mileage it may not be a bad idea to replace the fuel pump module and the fuel filter for good measure?
