leechmann
I recently planted some plum trees and I found that there was some little black specks of something on the new growth, on the ends of the branches. I'm not sure if it's a fungus or some type of insect eggs. Looks like its affecting the leaves, as they are kind of curled up. Any ideas? I can take a picture tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone may have had a similar experience. Just treated it with an insecticide. Thanks, Leechmann
hotrod1
Its a fungus called Black knot. Cut the infected branches off in the fall or winter and burn.

hotrod1
Good deal Leechman. I believe you want to treat them with the fungicide in the spring a few times too. What product did you use?

2springers
Black Knot does not affect Plum trees. It DOES affect Cherry trees.
