Yes, the three fight series between Ward and Gatti is some of the best in the history of boxing. They wouldn't stop a Gatti fight, because they never knew when he would come back - unbelievable. And also unbelievable that his life would come to an end the way it did.

When Gatti would fight Ward, a bunch of us would get together every time. Man, those were some good fights!

I heard that they had both been drinking, he had some head trauma and was strangled with the strap from a purse? First McNair, now Gatti, man, some of these sports dudes hook up with some real fire breathers!

Yes, apparently they had been out drinking. A friend said they had not been getting along anyway. The police said she was in the room with him for several hours before she notified anybody, and there was no evidence of anyone else being there.

I'd like to get a CD of that three fight series...
