Correct idle?

3 posts in this topic

I have a 2001 Yamaha 115hp 2 cycle and I am wondering what the correct rpm for idling is supposed to be? I want to say it's 12-1400 rpms, but not sure. It's on a 17' lund adventure if that matters.

In gear, 600 - 700 RPM. In Neutral, 800 RPM is pretty much the norm across the board.

Cool, looks like I must have doubled what I heard before, I thought that seemed kind of on the high side.

Thanks!
