Rainy Lake

Does anyone actually know if there are Lake Trout in Rainy Lake. And if so, what parts of the lake hold these fish?

Have you checked the DNR site? Might ask Woody in the Rainly lake forum, too.

Don't bother, there may be a couple in the North Arm but your odds are about as good as catching a tuna.

There are a few straglers in the north arm in Alexandria Bay and Northwest bay area that have migrated in but they are few and far between. I haven't heard of anyone targeting them in a long time...The walleye fishing is too good
