Big outboard 2-stroke oil ??

7 posts in this topic

Wanted to know what you guys/gals are using for 2-stroke oil in your 100hp+ motors. I also don't want to spend a ton of money and looking for low smoke.

Only use Yamalube in my Yamaha. Expensive but well worth it if you consider the alternative. Gander Mountain sometimes has sales on Merc or Yamaha oil just have to time it right.

i bought some amsoil sabre outboard oil and it says to run it 100:1 even though my motor calls for 50:1, does anyone think this is safe. i know amsoil is the best but half the oil in the gas? anyone else running this stuff? i guess i would like to hear from someone else before i take this leap. thanks.

Nice!

Thanks guy's!

My neighbor purchased the Amsoil HP injector at the Autovalue in Monticello for $28.00 1gal, I guess at Cabelas the semi syn Merc was over $30.00 and so was NAPA.

I may try that, He stated that he likes it so far.

I have a 69, 70 H.P. Johnson I run Amsoil in mixed 80 to one for the last 4 years, no problems yet. Idles better and no smoke. This year I went 70-1 on fuel mix.
