hanso612
I stopped into Halbergs last weekend and asked about purchasing a pontoon boat with no deck funiture or about buying a third pontoon to add to an existing boat. They looked at me as if I were nuts. What am I missing?I also asked about adding lifting strakes to the inside edge of the exterior pontoons. They had no contacts to do this kind of work. What again am I missing?I want to get the advantages of a Premier ptx hull without the 50 grand price tag. Has anyone done this kind of work before and what does it entail-liscensing , insurance??? Thanks,Hans
Surface Tension
I'd call Jay Soderbloom about adding a 3rd toon and the lifting strakes.
bassNspear
its alot more work then you think. Its not just paying for the parts, but the labor alone will cost alot!
JohnMickish
I think its more of a liability issue. If they where to sell you a blank pontoon and you kill a bunch of nuns with it they would be on the hook. I would just find a competent aluminimum fabricator and have him do the work.
