Minnetonka Pike

3 posts in this topic

We were out checking the deeper structure for bass this week and found that they hadn't moved out there. We did find though, that the Pike had. We got a 29", 32" and 36" out on main lake points.

I'm just curious as to what they were feeding on out there. Obvsiouly the bass hadnt moved out there yet. The sunfish were in the shallows spawning. Just thought it was interesting. Thanks!

Most of your run of the mill lake minnows from shiners to chubs are hanging in those areas right now, spawn is over and now they are just chilling in the cool water with a little safety from the structure. A all you can eat buffet for pike.
