Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Who thinks he should stay off the hippie Lettuce?

So much talent ... so sad.

Maybe he should lay his bat one the ground so he remembers to take a pitch.

He's been doing a bit better lately....defense is pretty good. I know he was expected to do more though.

On a side note, can Morales play 2nd base?

He has been hitting, and fielding, a bit better lately, but still is a long ways from what was expected from him. He has made some outstanding catches this year, then on the next play he totally boots it, go figure.

He looks as if he has no clue...

I think we're going to have to stick with the kid for awhile. He's still very young at 23 and hasn't reached his full potential yet. Still I look at his swing and wonder why he can't be in the 20-25 HR range and .280 type hitter.

He's halfway there, his career batting average through four years is 0.287. If he can be a little more disciplined at the plate, he might get better pitches to swing for the fences.

He's played well enough lately to at least warrant a little longer leash. He still needs to get a few things figured out yet though. He's got the ability but I think he just needs that light bulb to go on and for it all to come together.

This year has to be hard on him though with the death of his mother and still needing to maintain the focus that pro baseball requires. We have to remember that he's only 23 thats pretty young and I'm not sure its realistic to expect him to completely keep that from affecting his play.

Delmon is 23 years old. I think he will develop power numbers as he learns the strike zone and sees the pitches better. If he can hit in the .280 range again this year, I will be happy. I don't think Torii Hunter hit over 10 homers until he was 25 or 26. Same with Puckett. Granted I don't think they got the call up until they were about 23.

Give him a few years to see what he can do. Same with Gomez.

I am all for giving him some more of a chance, his defense is coming around, which if you woulda told me a year ago would happen I wouldn't have believed you. He missed some easy pop ups last season. Can't tell me switching to left is that much of a stretech from right, a flyball is a flyball- no matter where on the field it is.

His power needs to come around, however. He was supposed to be a 25+ HR guy- I don't see it.

I believe he signed with the twins as an infielder and was converted to a catcher. What infield position he plays I don't know though. The kid can sure hit!

    • I would always use tree tubes for any hardwoods. If it's small enough to need a tube for protection from deer, rabbits, other... than use the tube. If your putting in the time and money to plant them, you might as well protect them.    Lots of them are on the market. I have only used one type of tube myself. Tubex- combitudes (spelling?). If you are worried about deer you should get the 5 foot tubes. Since that is about the upper limit of their browsing heights. I've used the fiberglass green stakes from L & M instead of buying the stakes from tree tubes suppliers. The only problems i have had so far is a curious bear, who wanted to chew a few tubes.    The other thing you should think about talking to your local DNR forester. They can help you to make sure you are planting trees that are correct for your soils. And may be able to help financially to purchase tubes. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/woodlands/cfm-map.html    Hope this helps,
    • Thanks. Even got the itch to take a spin after seeing other bikes out today. Just a short ride down to the car wash to knock the dust off. Should have worn gloves though as it was a little nippy on the fingers. Maybe Ill run my Super Glide down there tomorrow
    • Birds in my area are too responsive, and yes i had 2 big fellas come in to my 1 tom and 2 hen set up. Accually i had the whole flock coming in and it was load with the hens and all the toms. One thing i fogured out is if there is alot of birds dont be soft calling. I tried to top the old hen and thats what pulled them my way. Good luck to my team and hopfully everybody could have a morning like I did, it wont be forgotten.
