Who thinks he should stay off the hippie Lettuce?

So much talent ... so sad.

Maybe he should lay his bat one the ground so he remembers to take a pitch.

He's been doing a bit better lately....defense is pretty good. I know he was expected to do more though.

On a side note, can Morales play 2nd base?

He has been hitting, and fielding, a bit better lately, but still is a long ways from what was expected from him. He has made some outstanding catches this year, then on the next play he totally boots it, go figure.

He looks as if he has no clue...

I think we're going to have to stick with the kid for awhile. He's still very young at 23 and hasn't reached his full potential yet. Still I look at his swing and wonder why he can't be in the 20-25 HR range and .280 type hitter.

He's halfway there, his career batting average through four years is 0.287. If he can be a little more disciplined at the plate, he might get better pitches to swing for the fences.

He's played well enough lately to at least warrant a little longer leash. He still needs to get a few things figured out yet though. He's got the ability but I think he just needs that light bulb to go on and for it all to come together.

This year has to be hard on him though with the death of his mother and still needing to maintain the focus that pro baseball requires. We have to remember that he's only 23 thats pretty young and I'm not sure its realistic to expect him to completely keep that from affecting his play.

Delmon is 23 years old. I think he will develop power numbers as he learns the strike zone and sees the pitches better. If he can hit in the .280 range again this year, I will be happy. I don't think Torii Hunter hit over 10 homers until he was 25 or 26. Same with Puckett. Granted I don't think they got the call up until they were about 23.

Give him a few years to see what he can do. Same with Gomez.

I am all for giving him some more of a chance, his defense is coming around, which if you woulda told me a year ago would happen I wouldn't have believed you. He missed some easy pop ups last season. Can't tell me switching to left is that much of a stretech from right, a flyball is a flyball- no matter where on the field it is.

His power needs to come around, however. He was supposed to be a 25+ HR guy- I don't see it.

I believe he signed with the twins as an infielder and was converted to a catcher. What infield position he plays I don't know though. The kid can sure hit!

    •   Yes, he lives in Russia. Good job, but no one disputed that fact.     Or, from your own article:         1. That's not even the point I was trying to make with that quote. 2. You do realize that Gary Johnson is no longer Governor of New Mexico, right? 3. The last political office he ran for was as a Libertarian.     I OWE you nothing but if we ever found ourselves in the same drinking establishment, I would be happy to buy a couple rounds.   Now. Tell me more about these butt-hurt Texans? Or are you just being a giant hypocrite?
    • sorry for late reply !! hope your trip went well. We have done great this year amazing for numbers and always a few big ones.
    •     As NYT reports, the president of the 'Yes California' movement lives in Russia.     https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/21/us/yes-california-calexit-marinelli-russia.html?src=twr&smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=1   RUSSIA !!! Must be buddies with trump and putin .. (OH, MY...)   And gary Johnson (liberatarian hero) is in fact a republican.   WOOOOOO!!!!!   That's two beers you owe me.
    •   You could have just looked at him for starters.     Nothing to see here, probably just some "Christians" making fun of autistic folks.
    •
I swear some of you must be emotionally attached to these laws because there is no logic in your thinking, the same kind of thinking that has wasted a trillion dollars and has yet to solve a single issue. The lottery has better results than the war on drugs, at least a few winners have emerged over the years.
    •   In our local paper they highlighted a local that is an author and wrote a book on what he did for his weight loss...he would eat good for 6 days of the week and then have 1 splurge day where he could eat what he wanted and doing this reset his metabolism and he lost a lot of weight.
    •   I was thinking the same I rarely use my own wheeler but when I do I like my auger on the wheeler. I thought about buying a mount but can't stand spending that much cash on one. I was thinking of making one but that's a project for the summer months. Sorry I can't help.
    •   If that's what you want to do go for it. You're the one who will pay the consequences.   Should the guy in this video chug a bottle of Jack? Probably not but it's legal.
    •   Maybe phone service and internet will be down. Yes! Living off grid. I like it. Can we even call it "winter" anymore? I mean seriously where's the days when getting a foot plus of snow wasent uncommon. A lot of people like these warm snowless winters. I hate it! Thanks globle warming!
