NASCAR forum get Together

4 posts in this topic

We will be having a racing get together Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at the Arlington race track. It will be on a evening when the go-carts also run so one can watch the kids in the carts. Brian ( Papa Grump) will have the girls there also.

We will also have our modified there.

After that, the cars will run and the track offers numerous classes from the bombers to the sprint and modified cars.

One cannot bring foods into the pits but the track does offer food and drink in the pits for sale. No booze is allowed during the races.

Kids are also more than welcome but they will need to sign a waiver before they can come into the pits. I will check on the age limit.

Yes, one can walk around and look at many different class cars and also watch the races form the pits.

If you have any questions, please post here. Also if you could post below if you are attending, that will give me a number so I can bring some pop and maybe a crook pot of sloppy joe's.

Races are usually over around 10:15 to 11pm.

Grandstand $10 for Adults

Kids 6-11 $3

5 and under Free

Pit Entry Fee $25

Arlington Grandstand opens @ 5pm

Arlington Pit gate at 3pm

I'm hope it does not rain to much even though we can use the rain. If the forecast is correct, it could be cancelled.

I will post if the race is cancelled as soon as I hear tomorrow.

Thanks Eric.

    •   That's basically what Ryan tried to do with the last bill...authored behind closed doors.   That all worked out well....
    • Just make them pass it before they see it
    •   Democrats have wanted a single payer system from the start, but they don't have the power to pull it off.   The elderly, the healthcare providers and the medical profession are the drivers of the legislation, and they don't want single payer either, since they have already seen what has happened to Medicare coverage.

    • Same here. And look how well twetter is working for da prez!!
    • Facebook is where it's at...no thanks...
    • All forums have a certain shelf life. There is only so long that the debate over Ford/ Chevy, Vex/Marcin. Eskimo/ Strike master, Ice Castle / Yeti can keep your attention. After a while most just slip away. New people are using social apps more that the old forum formats and that is that. The only thing saving silly town is that politics is the gift that keeps on giving.
    • Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham is among GOP leaders saying Republicans and Democrats now need to work together on a fix. Over the weekend, Rep. Betty McCollum and Sen. Al Franken – both Democrats — said they agreed with Graham. “That is what we need to do,” Franken said on WCCO Sunday Morning. “Speaker Ryan said at the end of this process that the Affordable Care Act is the the law of the land. We need to address what’s wrong with the Affordable Care act, what isn’t working.” Immediately after pulling the bill, Trump said he would be willing to work with Democrats on health care.     Too big to fail.....deja vu
