Minn Kota co-pilot

2 posts in this topic

I was wondering if anyone knows why my Co-pilot seems to have lost some power. 1st of all the battery lights on the unit that show how much battery life is very dim, last year it was very bright when i would test to see how much power I had left. It does show that I have full batterys, but the motor it self seems to be running very slow. I have to run it at level 6 to get enough power to pull the boat.

Do I have a loose wire inside the unit? Any help would be great!

Get your batteries load tested, it sounds to me like they still have full volts (that's why the lights show full power) but your batteries have no capacity left to power the motor. You can get them load tested at an auto parts or battery store.
