crappie todd
the gills are on the beds. they spawn at water temps in the upper 60s to 70 Typically They begin showing up about memorial weekend and about June 15th is when you can expect them to be bedding. Depending on where your fishing they can be found through the 1st week of July in the spwan, bedding areas.
Scott M
Every lake is a little bit different and many times you will see staggered spawns, especially as far as water depths and size/age of fish. With the strange weather we've had things are a bit delayed. Upper 60's and they should be going.
