Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

KVD blanks on Final Day

Recommended Posts

How many tournaments do you think the Eliete Series goes to and plans for KVD to come to a weigh in with NO FISH.

Go to espn.com and check out the story. Its crazy, and it proves to show that even if your the best in the world, you still have to have some skill to get some fish!

I haven't been blanked this year, but I've pushed it right up to sunset once this year. I'm hoping to keep it up all season.

I'm having trouble finding the article though, ran a search for both KVD and Elite Series and came up empty.

Hiya -

Stuff happens to everyone I suppose, even the best of the best. I watched a fish pull a rod right out of Al Linder's hand once...that was an eye-opener... shocked Had to tow Dan Sura off of Leech Lake in the dark one night because he'd plugged up his water intake with mud and fried his engine...

They're all human...

No doubt that everyone is human. It just happens to people like KVD at lot less.

Probably 20 years ago now, walleye fishing on Leech. He'd just released a fish, and was fiddling with the depth finder or something. He kind of had the rod loosely in his off hand and was turned funny when something - probably a pike I suppose - just smoked his jig and took off at 100mph. Rod just went - ZIP - into the drink. I didn't say a word, neither did he. He grabbed another rod out of the rod locker and kept fishing... It was pretty funny. Like I said - stuff happens. (His brother turned a Ranger bass boat upside down in a parking lot once...)

So you are saying KVD does not have skills because he did not catch a weighable fish the last day? Come on.

He understands the fish and plays the odds. The camers and the hype do the rest. It's not the boat, the rod, the reel, the fishermen, or the shoes. It is about knowing the fish and giving the fish what it wants! He's a saleman. Just look at his shirt.

RK, I've had a feeling I read your stuff before. You are a pleasure to read.

    • Those are cool but I enjoy the amount of water that mixes with my whiskey when I put 2 or 3 cubes of ice in it.
    • That's why my wife is getting one for Winter Solstice too!
    • Milton’s put 1/8 on your house? Was that the new owner? Mines Miltona, 4 years old and came with either 1/4 or 5/16, not 100% sure but it wasn’t 1/8.
    • I get what Del is saying to a certain extent. I would never buy a bottle of Pappy for $2000. There's no way that any whiskey can taste 40-50 times better than a $30-$50 bottle. I actually rarely buy anything over $35/bottle but that's just me being cheap. I do like to try the $50 stuff but have rarely found anything that I like better than Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace or Maker's Mark. Actually one of my favorite Bourbon's is Jim Beam Black for only about $25 a bottle. That being said I couldn't care less what other people drink or what they pay for their whiskey, beer, wine or whatever. If you have a job and make your own money, buy and drink what you want. I don't know if that's true or not but I sometimes wonder the same thing about all the people who claim to like really hoppy beers.
    • Between the frig and stove its only about 2 steps    My kinda program !!!
    • like any addiction..........there are the 12 steps!!!!!!!!!!
    • awe............a Christmas present for the wife................so you can use it!!!! I see!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!
    • Whatever gets you though the night.  If it makes you feel superior to drink expensive whiskey then by all means do so.
    • And then there are a select few people that don't know their arse from a hole in the ground and have the time to google chit about any subject imaginable and then pretend to be ex spurts on internet forums.
    • I just bought one for my wife and am looking forward to trying it. I just cant wrap my head around cooking fresh meat that isn't frozen with breading on it. I will have to try the fish with dry batter on it. Do you spritz it with oil or not? Going to be a learning experience!
