Itty Bitty Grouse

10 posts in this topic

I ran into a mom grouse last week on a portage between Grace and Beth Lakes in the BWCA. She had a whole bunch of little ones running around her and was not happy that here family had been discovered. She actually charged at me when I was coming down the trail. Here is one of the little fuzzballs.

Cute. I've had a grouse attack me, hissing and pecking at my feet when I walked up on her and her chicks.

Very cute. I have yet to see one of those in the wild. Thanks for sharing the pic.

Look at the size of those feet! It won't be itty bitty for very long.

Very cool image sir. Not easy to find them when they are this size and even more difficult to get a pleasing image like this.
