Bass Lake (Plymouth)

4 posts in this topic

I was out on Bass Lake in Plymouth yesterday, I decided to take my boy out there to get some little sunnies and crappies. I've never seen a lake so gross. I couldn't see 6" down, and I've heard people talk about pea-soup visibility, but this was unbelievable. It was the grossest, greenest water I've ever seen. Has anyone ever caught anything other than bullheads out of this lake? We didn't get a single bite on a bobber and worm.

With the weather we've had the past few days I bet the Algae bloom is in full effect. One of my local lakes looked like pea soup a few years ago and hasn't recovered much since.
