Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Lowrance HDS 7 trail question

Recommended Posts

Just bought a Lowrance HSD 7 unit and I really think it is going to be awesome. The only thing I can't figure out is in my old LMS 480 the trail you were making was on the screen all of the time and then you could delete them. On the HDS there is no trail on the screen? Is there a setting for this or do I have to create a trail in order for it to show up on the screen?? The unit had just been updated June 8th.

The trails showed up on my HDS by themselves but I've heard of other guys that had to go into the trail menu and create a new trail to get it to show on the screen. Also, make sure it's showing your current position (use the exit key to make sure it's at your current position) and make sure in the in the 2D map view, not the 3D map view.

You can check your existing trail or create a new trail:

*Pages

*Utilities

*From Waypoints, Routes, and Trails <Select Trails>

*Press Menu key

*Enable Display on current trail

Or, create a new trail by selecting *NEW* from the Trails screen

*Select SAVE

2D/3D (the latest software update may have changed this)

*From the Chart Page press MENU

*Chart Options

*Imagery

*Select 2D or Shaded Relief

Hope this helps!

Ran into the same problem.

You have to create a new trail. If you've done that and # of points for the trail is increaseing but still not showing up on the chart you have to enable Trails for display on the chart.

While on the chart page go to Menu\Settings\Chart. Cursor over and down to Trails. When the cursor highlights the Trails item hit enter. This will toggle its indicator on and display the trails on the chart.

I have the same problem with the HDS, am used to a system that creates a trail each time you power up, but mine does not. Is there an on and off for creating a new trail on start up??? I have done the latest update.

    • The Marcus Willimans that plays for the saints is not from Minnesota. The Marcus Williams that you are referring to plays for Houston.     Going to be 52 degrees there?????
    • Did you ask @Wanderer since it was a picture you took from his post?
    • Good job Ryan and dad!  Great photo too!
    • The 30 is a log to have to carry constantly but sure is nice to have to keep the bait lively!  I went last night and purchased another pump in order to plug into the wall...$13 and all I have to do is move the tube from one pump and connect to the other.  I am seeing if I can easily keep minnows alive from one weekend to the next.
    • Wow, someone else who actually watched the video and figured out what Williams did. Thanks @nofishfisherman.   It should never have gotten to that. The Vikings have got to keep playing to win for 4 quarters.   Playing to protect a lead can get you into trouble much faster than it's likely to help.
    • The mistake was getting there too early, clearly if he had continued with his tackle he would have been there way too early and would have an easy PI call against him.  Had he gotten a PI call then no matter what happened after that the vikings would have had a shot at kicking a field goal because a game can't end on a defensive penalty.  By avoiding the penalty he at least forced Diggs to make the catch and avoid any other tacklers.  In most cases the WR is going to catch that ball and get out of bounds right away no matter what. It was just the perfect mix of circumstances for Diggs to take it for a TD.  Had Diggs simply been facing a different direction after the catch he wouldn't have seen he had a clear path to the end zone and would have likely stepped out of bounds to stop the clock. Had Williams not taken out the other DB he may have been in position to make a tackle or at least be close enough to perhaps make Diggs think the best option is to run out of bounds instead of risk getting tackled in bounds.    What I found more puzzling is the overall defense from the Saints.  I've seen it broken down a few times and they had several players guarding against short passes to the middle of the field.  That vikings had no time outs and needed at least 20 yards, the Saints should have been inviting them to through short into the middle of the field not actively trying to take it away.  It appeared the entire play was a complete mental breakdown by the Saints.  It will go down as a great play by the Vikings, and it was, but it was made possible by some pretty big mistakes by the Saints defensive play calling and a single mental breakdown by Williams.
    • Has anybody found this particular color of rattl'n flyer recently, i am down to my last 2 and i havent been able to find them in pushing 2 years.
    • Good deal! Did you leave the ice coned up to help keep a seal?
