I'm having a argument with a friend over picture's of fish. Here goes His statment is " A lake with a slot, or a catch and release lake that says imediately release of a fish, you could be fined for taking a picture of it if you don't imediately release it." I say he's full of it.

You are correct. You are allowed in catch and release lakes to take a picture. But you need to have your camera ready.. You cant let the fish sit in a live well or on the bottom of the boat for a period of time while you get the camera ready.

Same for if you catch a fish out of season, as long as you were not targeting them, you are still allowed to take a pict for memories and then release the fish.
