Different Favre Topic

7 posts in this topic

I know there is a huge 30+ page thread on here, but I am personally curious about this, and I want to know others opinions and I don't want this to get wrapped up in the other thread, which has more to do with him signing and his injury updates, so I started a new one. SO- here it goes:

IF Favre does indeed spend a couple seasons here, will that stop the Packers from retiring his number?

A couple seasons??? Thats a pretty lofty assumption don't you think? Do you expect him to be a apart of the first father and son duo to play on the same team at the same time?

I think no matter what happens Green Bay will still retire his jersey.

He was too great of a player for them not to retire it.

Maybe if he plays here, is still upset at the Packers, he will spite them and tell the HOF to put a Vikes helmet on his plaque

I would think it would be a lack of class on either parties part not to have him retire a Packer. We'll see what happens.

Course it would be fun to burn the Packers britches if he retired a Viking.

    • well factor in cost of living and its a wash
    • Same ol story. The Liberals cant handle defeat. Like when Gore lost and Kerry lost. They just cant handle that there are people outside of NY and California and that they own guns, drive pick ups and vote.
    • My brother-in-law is serious about his whiskey, and he usually drinks either Crown or Pendleton.  My wife has drank Windsor for years.     Can't stand the stuff myself - probably got sick from overloading on it in my younger days.  Strictly beer for me - preferably a good craft beer, but normally Grain Belt or Schell's if it's available.
    • Their, there. I was.  Not overly excited by anything I saw. Did get to shoot the Gearhead bow and was fairly impressed. Some uniqueness to this bow, and completely reversible right to left so dealers should like that as far as reduced inventory they must carry.  And the lightest crossbow out there. The new Halon shoots extremely well but like its predecessor just too heavy for my taste.  The Bowtech Reign felt pretty good, but again nothing special.  Everyone makes a roto molded cooler, trail camera, and broadhead nowdays. Liked the cast aluminum tree stands from Rivers Edge at a better price point than others.  Hawk is making some neat treestands and accessories. Goldtip was doing a demo bending their arrows vs other brands and was quite amazing how much farther theirs would bend before breaking, and how much their arrow recovered (would not take a set) after bending vs the other brands. I might switch just because of the durability and straightness factor. Got to hold the new world record Tennessee non-typ.  That's a lot of horn.
    • Therefore, if there is no point in making a point, that makes it a moot post to make a point that there is no point. so I'd like to point out that I find this entire dialogue pointless.    Sillytown has run amuck.
    • Ayup. They asked me to take his place, but I can't stand Rawlings.    http://www.gasmonkeygarage.com/yes-aaron-the-bearded-wonder-is-leaving-gas-monkey-garage/
    • That does look like a fun day!
    • What? This can't be. Aaron's the real car building brains of this show. Richard is just the clown. Together they made it work. Apart?
