Kenora LOW advice please

6 posts in this topic

Headed to Kenora to fish Lake of the Woods June 14-20. Hope to hit areas around Devil's Elbow, Oliver Is, Donald Duck, Mouse...over and down to Tranquil chan...

How is water level?

How is water warm-up?

How is bite?

Suggestions on presentation and depth...where the walleye might be in a week?

Thanks!

Cyclo

Cyclo,

Nice agenda, great walleye spots.

Water is high right now, but not crazy for June. They are dumping a ton.

Water slow to warm up with winter like conditions.

Bite has been different, delayed, but reports are coming in as good, and they are spread out all over.

Hope this helps...Stop in, and say hi...Sunset Strip Husky on Hwy 17 East....ask for Duncan, not Hemlock

If you see a guy in a white and purple Ranger, get away fast. He's some kind of maniac and will be on LOTW the 20th through the 27th. smile

Be in Kenora on Sunday...Hemlock, will you be working at the baitshop? I'll stop-in and drop some cash for some "guaranteed to catch fish or die trying" bait.

    • I am interested in what this cough muffler looks like
    • Looks like a lot of rocks.  Could be some fish laying on the bottom.  I look for separation between the object and the shadow.  After I get more acquainted with my new unit i will try and post some shots
    • Its a whole new world down there with SI and DI.   After you learn what the picture is showing you,  you'll wonder what took so long to get it   I was a Lowrance guy for years and made the switch to H'bird this year with the new Solix with Mega chirp.  Very happy with it so far.  Amazing clarity and images.

I call it the Mother Of All Backups or MOAB for short.   https://www.sumppumpsdirect.com/SUMPRO-SUMPROGOLD-Sump-Pump/p2565.html
    • Has anyone been on Clear yet this season? Thinking about heading that way in a few weeks to try for some walleye and yellows.
    •   Well wasn't cheap but you got fixed and it would have been a real mess if she blew out on the lake.
    • Congrats looks like a beautiful and productive lake! Nice work.
