Broken Rod

[The Hex]

My dog stepped on my rod while getting in the boat and it snapped in half. It was a clean break about 2 feet above the reel. Can it be fixed? If so where and about how much? Thanks.

What kind of rod?..

Hate to be the bearer of bad news.. but its pretty much toast, it can somewhat be fixed, but in my opinion, not worth the cost and trouble. I suggest recycling the parts and use the guides and reel seat to make a ice rod or such? Or if its a Shimano, or Loomis, or Croix, maybe it has a warrenty and you can get it replaced.

But to be real honest, they can not be fixed.

Loomis has a $40 I think no questions asked return policy, might be $60 can't recall. Mine was a faulty rod so it didn't affect me. Call Loomis and ask.
