leechmann
Wondering if any of you folks have used this plant food. I am growing some apple trees in my yard and it was recommended by the tree nursery people. I was just wondering what is in it. Some of the other types of plant food, like the 10-10-10, you have an idea of the chemical makeup. Just wondering if anyone knows whats in this stuff? Dotch
If you use the flower and vegetable formulation like I have setting in front of me it's a 14-14-14, sourced from polymer coated ammonium nitrate, ammonium phosphate, calcium phosphate and potassium sulfate. It's essentially a slow release product. Wife has used it for decades in greenhouse and nursery business. We use it in the large petunia planters at work. Works well. Dotch
You're welcome leechman. Rummaging around in the garage this a.m. I found another container of Osmocote, Indoor and Outdoor I think it was called. This one had a pink cap on it where the other one had a green cap on it. The analysis on this one was different, a 19-6-12. The ingredients were the same as the other formula, just in a different ratio.
