A good fight and a good picture are all I care about when I fish freshwater.

Amen.

Speaking of Carp and Walleye caught on the same gear, Garcia 6500 40# Braid and Boss #2 rod moments apart.... smile

30.5" Eye and 17lb Carp.

Just to clarify I'm not saying Walleyes fight harder than Carp but pound for pound in this sampling the 17lb Carp did not fight twice as hard as the 8.5 pd Eye. The Carp once at the boat did the high power zig zag a couple times and was a great fight but the Eye was a pretty amazing fight also.

I think Walleyes especially River Walleye get a pretty unfair shake in how hard they fight...

to me, carp are a nasty fish that dont belong in the places they are. i hate invasive species because not only do they muck up the water and destroy natural habitats in lakes, they cause for large decreases in other fish species populations in the lakes.

i have never caught a carp and probably never will unless they invade my lakes up north. if i ever do catch a carp, i will probably kill it.

walleye all the way without a doubt.

if i want to target a fish just for the fight, i will target bass... or huge pike.. or muskies...

walleye=food

carp=dogfood
