Jaspernuts
She has been limping lately and vet says its the start of arthritis. I think this is a little early but I'm going to give here some supplements. Have any of you guys dealt with this and what has worked for you? Should I limit here activity or does exercise help? Thanks in advance!
LABS4ME
Lots of swimming... LOTS.I had a dog with a moderate hip dysplasia rating in the early 90s... swam her constantly from April till November. Her hip held together and never showed physical sigs of arthritis (limping) until the age of 10... then cancer got her, but I got 9 fabulous seasons out of that dog, when it was guessed she would be done by 6.Good Luck!Ken
Jaspernuts
Thanks Ken I will do that. She does swim a lot, the family has a lake home. The funny thing is this is the front shoulder and not the hips.
randallt
Check for lyme. May even give some antibiotics as the tests are not real accurate. It is worth a try.
