Any luck with single #10s or 13s?

I like big single blades after turn-over the slower more pronounced "thump" is a greater cold water trigger.

I have a theory that in the colder water, the lateral line becomes much more sensitive and the double blades are to constant in the vibrations they give off. And with a big single blade there is more of a "Thumping" action to the bait.

I guess this would be similar to pulling a big crank in the fall - The wide lethargic swings of 14" Jake or big Slammer often get more looks than let's say a depth Raider or other tight / fast wobbling bait.

Just my thoughts though!

A couple of years ago i would agree with the slow bigger thump of a jake over a depthraider. But the last few years our best luck has been on jointed depthraiders in the fall, usually water temps around 40 to 45 and trolling at 3 to 5 mph. My confident bait went from jakes to jointed depthraiders!!
