slate lake canada

wondeering if anyone has ever fished slate lake in canada, flying out of wenasaga resort in ear falls? wondering what to take up for tackle we are limited to 400 lbs per person, & need to save a little room for food & beer.

Haven't fished that lake but have been in some fly in lakes up there.

The fishing is usually extremely better up there than most times in MN. We were catching fish non stop on 1/2 oz jigs with nothing but a Mr. Twister tail.

For walleyes bring jigs in an assortment of colors and weights. We never use bigger than 3/8 oz in MN but have 1/2 and bigger for fishing up there. Also spinners, some Rapalas, and an assorment of Power Bait or Gulp.

For northerns a few assorted spoons, spinner baits, and larger stick baits should do the trick.
