Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

What a joke! Why is it we cant witness how the lottery balls are drawn? Its a scam!! The Wolves get hosed again! #6

because that its not lotto balls. its a 4 digit number of which there are alot of used in the lotto. personally i think its a fraud.

examples:

2008-Bulls have an almost non-existant chance of winning. They win the lotto. The prize? HOMETOWN Derek Rose.

2009. Sacramento nearly assured a top 3 pick. Sacramento is dealing with bankruptcy and might not be around for long...what happens? in a 3 player draft they drop to 4.

2009-2nd biggest basketball market moves the most and gets the number 1 pick.

2009-Wolves win a coin toss with memphis giving them better odds at a higher pick. wolves drop to 6. memphis leaps to 2.

we are still paying the price for joe smith. Stern is a coward and needs to get over it and quit messing with us for a personal laugh

Memphis usurps Minnesota for the 5 spot. That's how it always works, Minnesota drafts at or below its projected spot. I could see the team drafting Brandon Jennings, the kid that skipped college in the states and sought out a big European contract when he couldn't pass any collegiate entrance exams.

It will be interesting to see some of the player developed, but I don't think Timberwolves basketball will be must see TV next winter. A couple more wins and back into the lottery.

Luck is never on our side. Maybe we can move up into the top 2 via trade. We need a GM and a coach yet. Nobody wants to run the squad. Not looking good for the Wolves. ESPN has the Wolves taking DeMar DeRozan from USC at No. 6

Normally I'm the last person to say there is a conspiracy, but you have to start wondering about this. How many times can we be hosed?

The problem is the talent drops off a lot beyond the 3rd pick. In this years weak draft you have a good 1-3, then beyond that it really doesn't matter much whether you pick 6th or 20th.

I think there are a few sleepers out there, doubt we will find one! Any chance Rubio slides to us? Or we work a trade for our later first picks to move up?

ZERO percent change Rubio slides to us. Although Memphis may be the only team in the league dumb enough not to take him at number 2. The other team that could make that bad of a pick is taking the number one overall (Clippers) In a draft FULL of major question mark players, I really hope we draft the only other guy I am pretty sure is going to be at least a starter in the league for many years, in Curry. He may not have the upside of DeRozan, Teague, Harden, Hill, Evans, Holliday, or Jennings. But all the player have VERY big question marks.

I also am not high on Thabeet, I've seen him as nothing more than a POOR mans Samual Dalembert. Now, there are lots of reports recently about him bulking up with a strength coach, and having very good showings in the draft camps. If he does develop and offensive game, he could be something. I watched a number of their games, and he was outrebounded by smaller players a bunch of times. Still might be a great defender and shot blocker, but I haven't seen any offense or rebounding expected from someone with his traits.

Harden may be the bust of this draft. He has limited gifts physically, where his upside is not as high as the others. Might be the most ready to help immediatly of the SG's though.

DeRozan had a nice late season run, but didn't do much prior to that. Jury still out him big time.

Jennings seems to have the best tools of the point guards, a lot like lasts years draft steal Russell Westbrooke. He could be a Dwanne Wade like slasher, but again, big question mark.

I say draft Curry. He showed he can play the point unlike Foye. Has the ability to make people around him better. He might not have the athleticizm of some of the guys above, but knows how to the play the game, and he can shoot the lights out. I think he is the only sure thing after the first 3. We could even trade down to get him too.

Fishin58... no way Rubio slides past #2 we would have to move up and I don't see that happening. Sorry.

thabeet does nothing for me either...i think he will be a wash as a pro. Hope we trade up to get rubio. We do not need another Sg to get lost in the shuffle.

a lot of places have rubio going to OKC and Thabeet going to memphis. westbrook to SG for okc. Personally i think its ridiculous since okc has westbrook and memphis has Gasol.

Harden is exactly what the team needs: a good kid who keeps his mouth shut and can shoot the lights out. silent but deadly. a guy that you look at the box score and say WOW i didn't know he ended up with 25 points tonight.

Derozan can't shoot worth a lick but is athletic. i think he's a huge mistake at 6.

also teams wont be trading out of 1-3. they aren't stupid. I honestly bet it would cost #6, Next years first (if it doesnt go to LAC) AND possibly Love. no thanks.

if they draft curry at 6 i will hang it up. 18 and it'd be cool. has to take a ton of shots to get his points and definitely needs to bulk up. also is not suited to run the point, he's foye all over again in the NBA. where he goes he needs to play SG.

this isnt that far fetched though because memphis doesnt have Gasol, he was traded to the lakers last year.

He's talking about Marc Gasol not Pau.

Good stuff......but brother Marc is who they are taking about.......

I hope they end up with Harden...some have compared him to a version of Brandon Roy...

If the Wolves take either Thabeet or Curry with the #6 pick I will have a hard time being excited about our new addition.....

the talent level drops dramatically after the top 3 and I think it is after the top 2 (Griffin, Rubio)..............the next 6-10 guys all have an upside but none of them jump out as "good NBA talent" yet......

    • I tried a few new ones the last couple weeks. The first was Evan Williams 1783. Very good over ice or mixed with a splash of water. Plenty smooth and good enough that I got a second bottle to replace the one that somehow became empty. Price was about $16.    12 foot beard. This was ok and smooth enough to drink over ice. The best part about this one was that someone else bought it. Price was about $30 a bottle. It was good enough to drink on someone else's dime but I don't think I'd buy it myself.    I also tried a bottle of Redemption. This was very good over ice and about the closest thing I've found to the Trader Joe's bourbon that I like. Price was about $18 a bottle. Definitely one that I would buy again.    I dont know why but I like the bottle with a cork and not a screw off cap. The Redemption and Beard both had corks.
    • came to $200, which if I would have known prior to digging in, I would have dropped the trailer off that night to save myself the time with a big smile; he said their shop puts a spiral groove into the pivot assembly so the grease is evenly distributed; just said to keep greasing it. they did check the other side and it was taking on grease and to just stay on top of it. Just mentioned its a poor design on those axles, not just a IC problem but the other brands have the same issues; just need to stay on top of the maintenance!!
    • I realize its still April but this bad stretch of baseball has been awful. Hopefully getting back into a routine schedule and a few games back home they can get back on track.   Thankfully Cleveland isn't completely running away with the division yet. Not sure at this point if Wildcard will even be an option for another team in this division this year.
    • Well cant say I am not surprised with the outcome from that series. I think it was good for players like KAT to get a taste of the playoffs and see first hand what it takes to compete in the playoffs etc. Hopefully it was a good learning experience.   I am more disappointed with Wiggins than anything. He was a ghost for most of the season and especially in this playoff series. That max deal looks worse and worse.
    • Archery hunting turkeys is difficult at best, but when it all comes together It's as exciting as it gets.
    • Figured you'd like that news bb, not sure I want to get rid of Granlund, he seems to be one of the few on the team to create offence and has always been decent in the playoffs, at least better than most of the others not named Parise. Zucker has some ugly playoff numbers too but we need his speed and 30 goals scorers just don't grow on trees, just hope he can find a way to step up when we need him.

We do appear set on D, our group did great on offense but still held their own in the D zone. Really like Seeler, I've probably said that too much but the way he played down the stretch and in the playoffs he could be an elite bottom pair guy, just need someone else to push Prosser to the press box.

Foligno is a pretty decent 4th liner, just not at that stupid money we gave him, the 4th line was one of the bright spots in the playoffs. Hopefully Ek can break out a little bit next year, kid has all the tools to be the next Koivu but hopefully with more goal scoring. I'd give Nino another chance too, he was clearly off this year due to injuries and is just about always good for 25 goals when healthy. Agreed on Coyle, love his size and skill but he is just not the sum of his parts but watch us trade him and have him go on a tear.    Sounds like Leopold has his eyes on Fenton out of Nashville but lets hope they look everywhere. Should be an interesting off season.  One more note, just don't know about Dubs, we have had plenty of time to see what he is and right now he is half amazing and keeping us in games at times and sometimes letting in softies at bad times. Not going to hold game 5 against him, I don't even know what that was. Just not sure we will be able to find/trade someone better short term. It's like many of the others guys in a way, not the main reason we lost but not stepping up when needed the most.
    •  Indeed I am pretty confident I will get one this weekend I am able to hunt fri to monday morning
    • Yes the trout was biting also, we both brought home 5
    • After hunting Archery only for the last 10 years their is nothing I would change. It is darn frustrating but that is what makes it so fun.
    • Hope your trout fishing was as good as your turkey hunting. Beautiful morning, beautiful bird. Congrats.
