Sure felt like Cat season tonight

12 posts in this topic

Warm breeze, major bug hatch, owls hooting, coyotes howling, mosquitoes biting, clickers singing and video camera rolling.

Tonight was the first night that confidence was high enough to spend an extra hour or two out there.

What a beautiful night on the river.

I agree it was my first night out this Spring that has felt remotely close to summer nights. However, fishing was incredibly slow.

Just a much better night on the river than the past 5 weeks grin

Nothing huge, but steady action and some funny video moments. I’ll try to get a bit more footage and edit it over the long weekend.

I have to say that it was pretty nice to run the river back to the ramp at 11 PM and see that the air temp was still in the 70's. Two days ago it was 36 degrees at 10:30 PM.

Yes, it was a very nice warm ride back to the landing without the winter coat. Sounds like the next few evenings will be the same.

Lots of Bites. One very nice channel and a MONSTER CARP, that didn't want to cooperate.

Great night to explore some new spots... The fish locators were the ticket for getting on fish.

We had a decent night. 3 flats, a walleye, and a large sheepie.
