MN Shutterbug
I saw a few of these flitting around near Paducah, KY. I first thought they were Scarlet Tanagers, but then referenced a couple online sites, and discovered they are Summer Tanagers. They are found mainly in southern forests, although I have heard of a few spotted in MN. The Purple Martin and the gull from La Crosse, WI, are just a couple extras from the trip. There were also quite a few Indigo Buntings in the woods, but I didn't get a very good shot of those.

MN Shutterbug
Thanks, Nymph. The photos aren't that great, due to the large crop, but I thought they were awful pretty and a bird that most people around here have never seen. I read that the Summer Tanager is the only all red bird in North America.
