At what size do you throw back?

What do you consider a good eater walleye and at what size do u tend to throw back. I would say throw back anything over 20" I could see keeping over in certain circumstances.

15-18" are good for eating.

With that said, I throw 99% of all sizes back. I might keep a couple in the winter or right after the opener when the water is cool, but after that it's C&R. Not much of a fish eater...just a catcher.

My eaters typically are 14-20. It just depends on the lake. Many of the lakes I fish are stocked lakes with no reproduction. Some of those lakes have trophies, but not typically. If I'm on a trophy lake, then for sure all above 20 go back. Good thing the DNR stocks many lakes for us.
