A friend of mine bought one on Saturday, and we fished together with the intentions of trying it out, but the dang mosquitoes were scared and never came out, so we never got to turn it on.

I saw those at the store when I bought my Thermacell last weekend...I think that they are cheaper than the TC units too. I would be interested to hear someones reviews on them.

As for my ThermaCell...I absolutely love it. I have used it twice now out fishing this past week and it definitely works wonders. Can't go without it now, I just wish refills were cheaper.

the gnats are what I dont like so I like to use a couple of pieces of built-rite in a metal coffee can just light and let it smolder and the gnats are gone. its an old concrete worker trick and it works great..

I also like my therma call wish there was a way to refill the butane but that sounds kinda dangerous
