Lake: Fawcett

Dates: 7/8/09-7/12/09

Group: Bilsbarrow/Divers Couples Trip

Report: Awesome fishing! Caught 48 walleye in just 1 hour....they bite on anything including just minnow heads. Mostly deeper, 20 feet. Needed to fish "slow", and heavy jigs in the currents. Biggest walleye caught 25 1/2 inches, largest northern caught 35 1/2 inches. Take the tour around Gull-Zionz, and back. It is well worth it! Great adventure, we'll be back!! Thank you

Dates: 7/19/09-7/23/09

Group: Erickson

Report: The facility was outstanding! Awesome views from all sides of the cabin. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Fishing was equally as good. Bottom bouncers with spinners proved to be right on producing many 15-19 inch fish, with the largest being 23 inches. Afew northerns 26-36 inches picked up along the way. Used chartruse gulp and gulp leeches worked very well and didnt need to worry about live bait. Trip of a lifetime for my wife and me.

Bass alittle shallower water. Northerns scattered. Skip lost a monster pike!!! One walleye had a mouse in its stomach! Saw one bear and lots of eagles. Report: Cool, wet, yet the best fishing we have had in 12 years. Loads of walleye in the 19-21 inches. Dozens of 24-25+ inch walleyes. Had larger ones on but lost as we do not use a net, lost them at the boat. Great hospitality by L & M as always. A bit on the damp side with weather but thats part of the adventure.
