Not sure if your crestliner is a newer model or older model and how your switches are....

On my 85 Mr. Pike, I went ahead and just replaced the switch itself. I picked up a "rig rite" automatic livewell switch at cabelas for 30 bucks and replaced the switch. It allows me to either cycle constant on, or 30 sec on and 3 minutes off. They also have another switch for 35 bucks that offers you to control the time in between cycles. (they didn't have that one in stock at the time so it made my choice much easier)

None the less, it works great and is a lot better than turning on the switch and accidentally forgetting about it.
