fishing guide

6 posts in this topic

For fathers day i'd like to buy my dad a 1 day guided walley fishing trip for him and myself in the Hayward area, preferable on the Chippewa Flowage for this summer sometime. I have no idea where to start looking. Does anyone have any suggestions for fishing guides in the area? Or where I would start to look for one? Would like to go with someone who is recommended if possible. Let me know, thanks.

There are quite a few that guide on the Chip but I'd go with vman's suggestion, he wouldn't steer you wrong.

We went out with Tanner Wildes for muskies last summer and had a great time. I know he does pretty well for the 'eyes in the spring too. You may want to check him out too.

Dave Dorazio is a friend of my family. He's put many people on some big ones. He's been guiding there for over 25 years. My family and many of the Hayward muskie guides got together at Herman's Landing back in the 1980s.

He now has a tackle shop so if he doesn't guide, I'm sure he will hook you up with someone who knows what they're doing.

      2 red peppers, diced
      4 cloves garlic, chopped
      4 tbsp. flour
      2 tbsp. liquid smoke flavoring
      4 oz. chili powder
      2 tsp. cayenne pepper
3 (1 lb.) cans tomato puree
      1 lb. can ground tomatoes
2 cans dark kidney beans, drained
      1 can red beans, drained
Salt and pepper to taste In large pot saute onions, all peppers, and garlic in small amount of oil until tender. Add beef and pork. Stir around until cooked. Add flour to meat juices and mix well. Add 3 ounces chili powder, cayenne pepper, and liquid smoke and stir together. Add tomato puree and ground tomatoes. Mix all together and simmer slowly for 1 1/2 hours. After 1 hour, add remaining chili powder and salt and pepper to taste. Also add drained beans and finish simmering for 30 minutes.
    • Most certainly. Chili ain't chili with out beans!
    • Dem look good!!!
    • Kidneys and black X2,, This isn't a down south chili cook off, we need substance in our chili up here lol.
    •   Still looks like the White House is trying to squash the reports.
    • Hahahah! Right? I didn't even get to cut with yours dude. I'll end up buying the fuel or a dewalt DCD 996, whatever I find a good deal on. A 9ah battery on that Kdrill? Can you imagine??
    •   According to December Spicer this is now a dictatorship. February Spicer seems to disagree.   Also the White House threw them out in spite of confirming the truth of the reports.
    • Special treatment? Like a seat at the table?   If Obama didn't give FN a seat, we all know you'd be first to wet yourself.  OK, third to wet yourself.  Uncle Bill would be second and leech first since he already wets himself routinely.
