Question

I have a Fishhawk 1750 and my speakers do the crackling, was wondering if you guys have replaced these and what brand, and where you got them, and if they are for marine outdoor use. Like to keep an average type price 6 inch speakers. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, Sony and JBL make decent quality marine speakers, otherwise there are lots of cheap brands out there, just depends on how much you want to spend and what quality level you want. All of the normal places would carry them.

I got the kenwood speakers off the popular auction site (much cheaper than in store) and they sound sweet. Paired em with a sony marine deck. This is my second season with the setup and I have been very pleased.

I used some basic Pioneer 5-1/2" automotive two-ways. Mine are under the consoles on each side so they don't get much chance for a soaking. They're a few years old now and still working fine as of today.

JBL MS6200 in 6.5" two way. Just added a pair in on my Lund and they sound awesome for marine speakers. Poly cone so water shouldn't be an issue. $60 and change from the E auction site.
