  1. I am looking for a xpt-6-16 suction cop style. Thanks for the help
  2. I AM LOOKING FOR A NARROW CONE TRANSDUCER FOR MY LCR 4OO TO USE ON A FLY IN TRIP NEXT SUMMER. WE'LL BE TARGETING LAKERS IN 70-120 FT OF WATER. ANY IDEAS? THANKS FOR ANY HELP I CAN GET
  3. I also have fished Trout Run for 40+ years and have found myself frustrated by the regs this year. I also have the same opinion that the DNR has taken Trout Unlimited's "side" totally and has pushed the live bait fishermen away. However, I like to fish trout and did buy a license this year and have caught and released trout on barbless hooks and artificals the last few days. Others that use this forum have helped me sort out the regs. I'll still fish live bait just not on T.R. I enjoy the experience too much to give it up so have accepted the change. I C&R 100% of the trout I catch anyway.
  4. I try to set up near corn fields this time of year. Picked or unpicked ar both productive. I also call them to me rather then move around much. They seem to feed all day and will be in the sunny areas( if the sun ever returns) whenever possible. I see suprising number of deer while late season squirrel hunting. If anyone out there would appreciate some fresh squirrel meat, cleaned and ready to cook, drop me a note.I shoot only what I will eat and thus pass up plenty of shots. Galaxyman
  5. I HAVE SPENT CONSIDERABLE TIME IN THAT VALLEY AND THE PHEASANTS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. GROUSE ARE MUCH EASIER TO LOCATE AND WILL PROVIDE MORE ACTION. I ALSO SUGGEST YOU TRY THE KRUEGER RECREATION AREA WEST OF KELLOG NEAR THEILMAN. THE GROUSE ARE THERE. I HAVE DONE WELL IN THE CEDAR TREES THERE AFTER THE SNOW ARRIVES.
  6. TRIGGER, I ALSO OBSERVED SOME VERY SKITTISH DOES THIS YEAR. THE OPENING OF THE DOE TAGS FOR 3A DID PRODUCE SOME DOE HARVESTING SO THIS MAY HAVE INCREASED THEIR AWARENESS? I ALSO AGREE WITH DAN IN THAT THE DNR DOES KNOW WHAT IT IS DOING. GUESS I WILL ENJOY THE TIME I HAVE IN 3A AND GET THE BOW OUT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON.
  7. As and avid 3A hunter for many yearws I would like to start a discussion on the seasons length. Specifically, I would like to see the second weekend added back onton this season. This year I saw the fewest number of hunters in the field I have ever seen for this season. Perhaps a second weekend would add more interest. I now in my case it would allow me a much desired "second hunt".
  8. What exactly is the law in relation to posting the DNR # or owners info on portable shacks? I have it on my permanent shack. If I read the laws correctly I must also place it on my portable yet on the ice I see no portables with this on them. I sure do not want to permanently paint it on my portable!!
  9. Where is Holland Lake? What species of trout are available? I have started to fish, sometimes catch, and release trout through the ice and it's a blast!! Always looking for new holes to drill. Galaxyman
  10. I am considering entering the black powder world. If I understand it correctly I cannot use a scope in Minnesota when hunting with a muzzleloader. Does anyine know why?
