  1. Fall Returns

I fish stickups in 2 to 10 ft of water at my home lake in Texas. I usually use Texas rigs or squarebills. The water here is clear but not gin clear. But for some reason cant get bit on a spinnerbait in the fall.
  2. How many set ups do you own??

I also have five and feel as if I could use a few more.
  3. Shallow cranks

Definitely a shallow crank is more productive here in Texas for me anyways than a spinnerbait is. I haven't used a minus one or any wake bait for that matter. I tend to use the h20 models from academy squarebills that dive 2 to 4 ft. Not a lot of weeds in my homelake. Would a wake bait be effective over shallow rock and shallow flooded timber? Probably need to buy a few of those.
  4. New guy here

I live on Canyon Lake between San Antonio and Austin. It is a highland style reservoir with some flooded timber and very rocky with some deep ledges. Its a very difficult lake to fish especially in the summer when temps are over 100 degrees keeping the water temps near or above 90 degrees. It also has a moderate population of smallies and a good population of largies, stripers, and white bass and cats. The water is also very clear most of the time and moderately clear the rest of the time. I fish mostly soft plastics either Texas rigged or Carolina rigged but have been experimenting lately with the dropshot. My problem is I fish from a Jon boat and boat control can be a problem. I joined this site knowing we fish different types of waters but that I could learn a lot from you guys. I believe you can never have too much fishing knowledge. Besides my family all lives in Iowa and Minnesota so when I make it up there ill be ready!
  5. Me and my Dads bass weekend 8-17-2013

Those are some nice looking fish. Its always great to get out with family and get on a few bass.
  6. Bucket list fishing

What are the places you'd like to fish before you kick the bucket? Mine are the Boundary Waters for smallies northerner and walleyes, Falcon Reservoir down here in Texas, and probably one of those California lakes where the forage for largemouths is Rainbow Trout.
  7. bass pictures

The above is a 6 lber I caught. Also caught this bank fishing before I had a boat. I now fish out of a 14 ft jon. Again I am very sorry for my lack of technical skills and for not posting this in the bass photos section.

caught this bank fishing. It was only on stringer cause I had to run home to get my wife and a camera. I did release her. Never weighed it but it measured 26 and girth was over 20 so I am sure it was over 10 lb.
