Talked to another friend that has more history with the property than I do. Sounds like the former owner caught “more than a few” trespassing bow hunters on camera. Sigh… Cell trail cams a comin’

My daughter wanted to put up a bird feeder so fleet farm trip Saturday morning it was. Yesterday we had so many birds in the yard it was unreal. A few that i dont think I have ever seen before. Must have had a 100 robins at one point and about 50 yellow wing black birds. Few cardinals a pair of flickers and all kinds of little winged things.

Nope. Not sure whose it might be. The previous owner didn’t bow hunt and I don’t recall hearing anyone in the family bow hunted either. I was just out trimming trails when I noticed it.

Ice is going off the lakes around Cross Lake. Big Trout still has a good sheet on it though. Edges are rotted out. No birds so far but it’s windy! 5 deer on the property.

i've heard a few recently........have had them on and off this past winter at the feeders!!!!!

Cardinals this morning.

Lots of cranes flying over lately. Yard was full of robins yesterday afternoon. Early morning sounds like mid april. Swear i heard frogs from by the river this morning.

Haven’t seen or heard those yet! Snow geese were migrating over a couple days ago. More and more song birds are showing up. Plenty of robins. Friends were snow goose hunting in SD last weekend and doing well. I had an invitation but just couldn’t take the time to join this year. Maybe next. Still seeing a few early divers plus mallards. A friend in Princeton had wood ducks last weekend. He’s glad he got his boxes done the weekend before.

Compton Tortoiseshell Butterfly. This is probably the earliest I have seen them come out of hibernation! Last year I thought they came out at the end of April.
