  • Recent Status Updates

    • Rick

      Now that the forums are somewhat stable we are adding a few more features with plenty more to come.
      1st is the status update you see here. You can update your status in a number of places if you are a member and it will show up on various walls. the +Create link at the top is probably the easiest. Check your profile after you do a status update or two.
      2nd is the @mention feature. When you want another member to be notified about your post just typ the @ symbol followed by a "lowercase letter or two". Then when the names popup either select or keep typing until you narrow down the name to select.
      We are also able to add additional content in the header area, sidebar area as well as the footer. I'm guessing you noticed. In any case there is more to come. Slowly but surely.

      Are you reading the stories from Lake Iwanttobethere? "like them" so I can see who is reading and you may just find yourself included in up coming story!   {a blatant cry for attention}

      We fixed it so you can now do your own status update on the wall. Click the "Update my status" link. You can also see individual Status updates when you click on someones Name-Profile and then click the Status tab. You can add pics etc. have fun.

      for once I don't have to try. Usually there will be a list on the DNR's page that shows how many surplus tags there are for each area. I think the surplus tags go onsale at noon on the 5th. Good luck man!

      Have friends who camp there off and on all summer, never heard them say anything but good things about the place. Are you bring a boat? Ely Lake is right there and it can be pretty decent for bass and pan fish, also some eyes in there and smallmouth. Lot of sallow water but also some real deep water off the islands. Good crappie fishing if you hit it at the right time.

      Pat you never cease to amaze me with your piles of mushrooms  It would take me a month to find that many...... I don't know how you do it.   Glad to hear you are okay. I was dive bombed last summer out shrooming and somehow didn't get stung. Now my Epi-pen is always in my backpack during the warmer months in the woods.   If I ever got attacked like you described it would be the end of B-man .......

      Has anyone stayed at the Veterans RV Park south of Eveleth before?  We are going to stay there this weekend.  Looks like a nice place.  Might even bring the golf clubs and do 9 holes.  Only do that a couple of times a year.  Will let you all know how it is after the adventure is completed..... Also would like to go out to eat one night.  Does anyone have any favorite places to eat near there.  Preferably in Eveleth..
