Now that the forums are somewhat stable we are adding a few more features with plenty more to come.
1st is the status update you see here. You can update your status in a number of places if you are a member and it will show up on various walls. the +Create link at the top is probably the easiest. Check your profile after you do a status update or two.
2nd is the @mention feature. When you want another member to be notified about your post just typ the @ symbol followed by a "lowercase letter or two". Then when the names popup either select or keep typing until you narrow down the name to select.
We are also able to add additional content in the header area, sidebar area as well as the footer. I'm guessing you noticed. In any case there is more to come. Slowly but surely.

We fixed it so you can now do your own status update on the wall. Click the "Update my status" link. You can also see individual Status updates when you click on someones Name-Profile and then click the Status tab. You can add pics etc. have fun.

Was out chasing muskies again this weekend. Water temps were 76-77 and water was somewhat algae stained, but not too bad for this time of year. Stable weather and a full moon looks like it brought the muskies in shallower. I did not see any fish following off deep water. Fish were up in the weeds, and would follow most presentations (a big glide bait got the most attention). Late Sunday I switched over to an erratic jerkbait to try entice would be followers, and managed a new first for me. I put 2 muskies in the boat on consecutive casts. Both fish were small (36" and 34"), but that appeared to be the ticket. The downsize in lure may have been a factor in the smaller fish. I had been throwing larger baits and getting larger fish to follow somewhat regularly throughout the weekend.

Yes, shooting ducks on the water and pheasants on the ground is fine with me. I've never duck hunted in my life and I've never seen a pheasant on the ground I could shoot. I have however shot grouse on the ground though but I don't think any of them had a name to my knowledge. Hunting is and should be the harvesting of game animals for food. How you harvest is mostly irrelevant. No matter how you do it an animal is dead. They won't be any less dead if I shoot them in the air as opposed to on the ground. Fair chase is something that people made up to make themselves somehow feel better about taking a life. I had a hamburger yesterday and I'm pretty sure there was no fair chase involved at all. I grew up on a farm and you learn the value of life and you come to terms with the reason the animals exist on the farm at a young age. We butchered hundreds of chickens, a couple of beef cows and several hogs each year. No fair chase was implemented at any time in doing so. We were raised to be tough enough mentally to understand that the circle of life is what it is and we never needed to invent mythical ethical standards in an effort to cope with our actions.  FIFY

I'm not impressed with the gps in the iPad either. Very slow to respond to actual position changes.
