    • New "Good Morning" thread
My wife had one of hers done about 3 years ago and it has taken a lot of her pain away. My mom had both of hers done at the same time. You are correct Del, doing the exercises and the stretching is the main key to recovery.  The same friend MADE me go with him again this morning. I caught an 18 inch walleye which the warden and I will fry up. We went early, before the rain started here.   I'm off to help my mother put flowers at a couple cemeteries, then a graduation party.
    • Kayak transducer mounting
I use my LX6 and just shoot through the hull. Just a splash of water in the kayak if needed and set the transducer on the bottom and go.
    • Reverse migration
I'm seeing several flocks of juvenile non paired up birds around again. A flock of 11 and a flock of 17 have been roosting here the last few nights. Not sure where they are going during the day, but they are coming back here at night. Geese do not pair until their third spring and if they loose their partner during the fall season they will not pair again for at least a year. Strange birds... Hard to understand how they figure it all out, but they do.
    • Goslings and ducklings???
I'm not sure if I have a second nesting or just a late nesting, but I have a hit on the box I have tagged "the high box". Hooded merganser that started using the box last Monday. The mergansers seem a little less shy than the Woodducks in that she will still fly up to and enter the box even if we are sitting in the deck 20ft away. As long as we sit still when she lands on the lake to scope things out she will fly up and in. If we are moving around or being loud she will leave and come back 15-20min later and try again.  Guess that's what I get for declaring that I had zero use in my tree boxes.

Yes indeed good luck to the MIL roony. When Mom got her knee replaced after the therapy she was going to show me how well it worked. Backed right into my pickup when she gunned her old Buick coming out of the garage. Yup, it helped alright...lol. Gotta do the cemetery thing Monday looks like. Brats in the fridge and likely some lamb in my future. Grill is poised and ready. Oops! Off to another graduation for a little then better sharpen some mower blades. Ciao!
    • How often do you change fishing line?
Sunlight and maybe heat deteriorates mono.  I have had whole reels full of mono go bad from that.  Braid doesn't seem to have that problem.  I don't know about fluro.  So when I used mono I used to change it once a year.
    • Fishin report for Lake Iwanttobethere..
Good to see you back Bobby! Nothing wrong with letting the grandkids mow the lawn. Do they hire out? Take care Bud!
    • Walleye Photo Gallery
A buddy of mine decided to take the family out for a evening of slip bobber action. Me and a couple friends fished next to them in another boat. Walleyes were slow moving but we got to watch his wife land this 27 inch dandy! Another biggest walleye memory made! What a year it's been already and the summer is just getting started! And Another 28 landed yesterday with 4 other nice fish in a couple hrs of fishing! We are seeing the results from local stocking and a lot of CPR on this lake in the past! Some more catch and release F-U-N!!!Have a look!

Got the brisket in the smoker for around 4 hours now. Will toss it in the oven around 1:00.  Brother and SIL are up and we had our grandson overnight as well. Today we will celebrate his 1st birthday with a little party. Very gloomy out but looks like no rain for a while.
