Wondering if anyone has tapped their maple trees yet? I put a test tap in yesterday and things were moving a bit but not enough to collect. I think here in east central MN we are a couple weeks away from the beginning of the flow.

I would guess we are three weeks away in southern MN.

Here in the northern tier of the state we still have a ways to go before tapping. The sun needs to get a lot warmer during the day to get the sap flowing.

We have yet to see our first legitimate day time temp above 32 degrees. Once we get a week or so of daytime above freezing temps I'll be dusting off the taps and cleaning out the buckets! Can't wait!!! cool

Looking at the predicted temps in the comming weeks. It's going to be a late year and with that, I believe a short season.
