Just bought a 8'x20' plus v Ice Castle with a hydrolic frame made by berkon industries does anyone own something similar? I looked it over and it looks pretty well built, that was my biggest complaint with my last ice castle was that the frame seemed underbuilt. This one looks better, hopefully it has a better paint job on it than my last ice castle. Like the room in this house yea I know the finishing quality leaves something to be desired but for what I paid for it I can't go wrong. Spending this week setting it up to my liking then heading to red next weekend for its maiden voyage. Come on friday.

Eric does an excellent job on his trailers! They pull extremely well and go up and down with ease. While he has a contract with Ice Castle to do their hydraulic trailers, his complete houses are even nicer! Anyone who is in the market and hasn't checked them out already should give them a look. He will have a couple houses up at the Eelpout Festival and is more than willing to let people take a peek. One thing to keep in mind is that you get what you pay for!

Berkon makes a good frame judging from the reviews.

I have a Shack Rack hydraulic frame on my house and am happy with it.

I also like the Innovative Recreation frames.

Regardless of the manufacturer (all 3 are good) hydraulic is the way to go. It takes 10 seconds to drop the house or pick it up. Before I get done fishing, I take a couple minutes to tidy up the inside of the house, plug in anything that needs charging, snap on my hole covers, raise the house in 10 seconds, and I am on my way. Once I get home, I plug in the extension cord to the outside of the house, and the next morning everything is charged up and ready to fish!!
